It’s no secret. We love bagels. We adhere to the philosophy that bagels can be enjoyed morning and night, at any meal. But don’t just take our word for it. Here are some inspiring recipes featuring ways to eat bagels that will change your life!
1. Sweet and Savory Bagel Stuffing
Whether stuffed inside the turkey or baked on its own, make sure to prepare extras of this sweet and savory stuffing. Everyone will be begging for leftovers!

8 oz bacon, cut into small strips
3 large shallots, chopped
2 celery stocks, chopped
10 fresh figs, halved
1 sweet potato, cut into cubes
1 cup mushrooms
1 cup canned low-sodium chicken stalk
2 tbsp balsamic vinegar
4 cups chopped bagels, about 4 bagels
*recommend cinnamon, wheat, and salt
4 sage leaves
salt & pepper
DIRECTIONS:
1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Butter 1 8x8x2 inch baking dish. Over medium heat, begin to cook bacon, about 4 minutes.
2.Toss shallots, celery, sweet potatoes, and mushrooms in salt and pepper. Add chopped shallots, celery, sweet potatoes, and mushrooms to bacon and saute for about 5 minutes.
3. Stir in figs, 1/2 cup chicken broth, balsamic vinegar and sage and bring to boil. Reduce heat and cover at a simmer for about 5 minutes. All veggies and fruit should be tender.
4. In a large bowl, mix bacon veggie mixture in with your bagel cuts. Stir in remaining chicken broth. Season with an extra hit of salt and pepper if you need.
5. Transfer stuffing to a prepared baking dish. Cover baking dish with foil. Bake stuffing for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an addition 10 minutes till your stuffing is golden.
2. Bagel Burgers with Dill Pickle Cream Cheese
Love burgers? Check. Love Bagels? Check. Love Pickles? Check. This mouthwatering meal combines all your favorite foods on one plate. We recommend the pumpernickel bagel, but honestly this is delicious with any bagel. Make sure to have extra napkins handy!

Drizzle olive oil over the cut sides of the bagel. Toast, oiled side down, until the bagel is golden brown. Let it cool for 5 minutes, then assemble your burger by first spreading dill pickle dip generously on the bottom half of the bagel, stacking on a grilled burger patty, handful of greens or lettuce and the top half of the toasted bagel. Eat immediately!
3. Baked Bagel French Toast With Maple Glaze

French Toast:
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
2 large eggs
1/2 cup milk or cream (use slighltly more if soaking overnight)
1/4 cup maple syrup (lite or sugar-free okay)
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup light brown sugar, packed
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 teaspoons cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon salt, or taste
5 Bagels (cinnamon-raisin, or plain bagels), diced in 1-inch pieces
Maple Glaze:
1 cup confectioners’ sugar
about 1/4 cup+ maple syrup (lite or sugar-free okay), adding additional as necessary for desired consistency
DIRECTIONS:
French Toast
Preheat oven to 350F. Spray a medium-large oval baker with cooking spray or grease and flour 9×13-inch baking dish.
In a large microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter and heat on high power, about 1 minute. Wait momentarily, so you don’t scramble the eggs.
Add the eggs, milk, maple syrup, sugars, vanilla, cinnamon, salt, and whisk to combine.
Add the bagels and toss lightly to coat. Allow mixture to stand for about 10 minutes,, to overnight, giving bagels time to soak up the coating.
Turn mixture out into prepared baking dish, loosely laying it in. Drizzle any unabsorbed coating mixture over the bagels.
Bake for about 25-35 minutes (start watching closely at 20 minutes), or until center is set.
Take care not to over-bake. You want the French toast soft and moist, but set.
French toast will firm up more as it cools.
Baking times may vary widely based upon bagels used, baking dish used, climate, and oven variance.
While French toast bakes, make the glaze.
Maple Glaze
To a medium bowl, add both ingredients and whisk until smooth. You may need to play with the sugar or maple syrup amounts slightly to achieve desired consistency.
Remove French toast from oven, evenly drizzle with glaze, and serve immediately. French toast is best fresh, but leftovers will keep airtight in the fridge for up to 4 days and can be reheated gently in the micro before serving.
4. Sausage, Goat Cheese, and Chive Bagel Strata
Time to get fancy with this bagel strata, similar to a quiche or frittata. Pinkies up or down, there is no wrong way, or time to enjoy this hearty dish featuring savory sausage, eggs, and goat cheese.

1/4 cup chopped fresh chives
2 cups cheddar cheese
4 ounces goat cheese
More chives for topping
INSTRUCTIONS
Grease a 9 x 13-inch casserole dish. Spread the bagel pieces evenly over the pan.
Crumble and cook the Italian sausage in a skillet over medium heat until no pink remains. Stir the sausage evenly into the bagel pieces.
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, pepper, garlic, mustard, basil, and chives. Pour the mixture over the bagels. Cover with foil and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight.
When ready to bake, remove the dish from the fridge and allow it to come up to room temperature while the oven preheats to 375 degrees.
Bake covered for 35 minutes, then remove the foil, sprinkle with cheese, and return to oven for an additional 10-15 minutes or until top is browned and cheese is melted. Let rest for 10 minutes before sprinkling with more fresh chives and serving.

4 tablespoons (1/2 stick) unsalted butter
1 cup packed dark brown sugar
3 large Granny Smith apples, peeled and sliced
6 large eggs
1 quart (4 cups) half-and-half
½ cup granulated white sugar
2 tablespoons vanilla extract
½ teaspoon salt
jarred caramel sauce, warmed
DIRECTIONS:
Spray a 9×13-inch dish with nonstick spray. Slice the bagels into small chunks and scatter on the bottom of the pan.
In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat, and add the brown sugar. Stir until the butter and sugar are bubbling—continue to stir and cook for an additional 2 minutes. Add the apples and continue to stir until apples are well-coated with the caramel mixture. Cook and stir for an additional 2 minutes. Spoon the apples on top of the bagel pieces in the pan. Scrape the sugary juices evenly on top.
In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, half-and-half, sugar, vanilla, and salt until the sugar is dissolved. Pour over the bagel/apple mixture in the pan. Cover the pan loosely with plastic wrap, and place another pan on top to submerge the bagels in the liquid. Let sit at room temperature for 30 minutes.
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Make sure there is a rack in the middle and another rack on the bottom of the oven. Place a rimmed baking sheet lined with foil on the bottom rack (this will catch any potential drips). Remove the plastic wrap, cover the bread pudding with foil, and bake for 45 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes. Let cool for at least a few minutes before servings. Serve slices warm with a drizzle of caramel sauce.
